DRAFT — NOT LEGAL ADVICE, NOT YET IN EFFECT

This page is a structural placeholder written by the development team. It has not been reviewed by an attorney and does not represent the final terms of this practice. It must be replaced with counsel-reviewed language before launch. Until then, do not rely on anything below.

Coaching supports behavior change, planning, education, accountability, and general wellbeing. It does not diagnose or treat ADHD, insomnia, eating disorders, substance-use disorders, or any other medical or mental-health condition.

What coaching is

A working partnership. Alan helps you understand your current patterns across the six pillars of lifestyle medicine, choose one area to work on, design a change small enough to actually happen, and adjust it as your circumstances change.

What coaching is not

It is not medical care, psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, medical nutrition therapy, or addiction treatment. Alan does not diagnose conditions, prescribe or advise on medication, order or interpret laboratory tests, or provide treatment for any disease.

Nothing on this site or in a coaching session should be taken as a promise that coaching will prevent, cure, treat, or reverse any condition.

On “ADHD-friendly”

This describes how coaching is structured — one action at a time, short steps, honest time estimates, client-controlled reminders, a fallback for every commitment, and no shame-based mechanics. It is a method of working, not a treatment for ADHD, and it does not require or imply an ADHD diagnosis.

Referrals

When something falls outside coaching, Alan will say so and help you find the right professional — a physician, therapist, registered dietitian, sleep specialist, ADHD clinician, or substance-use treatment provider. Coaching can continue alongside that care, but it does not replace it.

This is not emergency support

Messages are not monitored continuously and are answered within one business day. If you are in crisis, in danger, or thinking about harming yourself, do not wait for a reply.

In the US: call or text 988for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911 for an emergency.

Working with your other providers

If you are under the care of a physician or therapist, keep them informed about lifestyle changes you are making. Do not start, stop, or change any medication or prescribed treatment based on a coaching conversation.
